Professional Extension Piano Tuning Hammer with Nylon Handle

• PROFESSIONAL EXTENSION TUNING TOOL: Designed with an extension rod to allow the handle to be lengthened. Most piano tuners who have this type of hammer do not use the extension primarily, but the extension hammers are generally stiffer than the non-extension hammers. The stiffer the handle is, the more control you will have on the tuning pin.
• HEAD ANGLES AND TIPS: The extent to which the handle extends out from the tuning pins is determined by the angle of the head. Five, ten, and fifteen degree head angles are available. The tuning hammer will be closest to the tuning pins when the head angle is 5 degrees, while the 15 degree angle will extend the handle further away. The star tip is designed to fit tuning pins with square heads.  The #2 tip will fit tuning pins on virtually all pianos except those with extremely small or extra-large tuning pins (which is very rare). The #1 size tip is a little smaller and is intended for extremely small tuning pins. This is mostly typical of older European pianos.
